# When would I use a cooling fan?

Cooling fans are used for thermal management. In recent years, there is a demand to design equipment to be used under extreme temperature and humidity environments or that simply require appropriate head designs and heat measurements. As an example, cooling fans can be used to provide airflow to electrical cabinets or to keep other electrical components from overheating. They can also be used for different application types such as air knives or heat exchangers.
