The alarm LED on the MSC series speed control motor unit is flashing twice. What is the cause?

When FWD or RVS input is turned ON, if the feedback voltage from the rate generator remains at 0 for 5 seconds or more, an alarm will occur.

There are two possible causes for this:

  • Motor is locked
  • The blue wire (rate generator wire) of the motor cable is broken.

Please check the load condition to make sure that the motor is not being constrained, and also check that the blue wire is not broken.
