The rotation speed units in the catalog are listed as two types, [Hz] and [r/min]. What is the difference between them?

Rotation Speed

r/min indicates the number of rotations a motor makes in one minute and is commonly utilized to express the rotational speed of motors. On the other hand, Hz denotes pulses per second and measures the frequency of the pulse signals transmitted from the controller to the motor driver. The relationship between pulse speed (Hz) and rotational speed is directly proportional. The conversion formula that relates [r/min] to [Hz] is as follows:

Rotational speed [r/min] = f × (θs/360) × 60

f = Pulse frequency [Hz]
θs = Motor step angle [°]
