# Is there a way to calculate stepper motor output?

## Calculating Stepper Power

The formula for calculating power (wattage) is: Power = Rotational Speed ​​x Torque x Constant.

Output \[W\] = 0.1047 x T x N  
0.1047: Constant  
T \[N m\]: Torque  
N \[r/min\]: Rotational speed

The "rotational speed" and "torque" mentioned here are:

Rotational speed: Number of rotations at a certain point in time  
Torque: Torque generated at a certain number of rotations at a certain point in time

 

The amount of work done by a motor is determined by its rotational speed and torque.  
Output (W) is a unit that expresses the amount of work done per second.

The output obtained from this formula is only a guideline.  
When calculating output when selecting a motor, it is necessary to take into account various conditions of the device, such as the load torque, load moment of inertia, and operating pattern.
