# Is the output voltage of the tachogenerator wire of the AC speed control motor (6 to 90W) DC or AC? Also, what is the voltage level?

When the motor operates at its maximum speed, the tachogenerator produces an alternating current (AC) voltage of about 30 volts. The accompanying figure illustrates the relationship between rotation speed and the voltage generated by the tachogenerator.
